MARKETING MANAGE

Funko is a pioneer in its industry and is the largest, fastest growing provider of consumer products to the pop culture enthusiast worldwide. Funko’s exclusive and unique products, including Pop! Vinyl, the #1 collectible on the planet, are based on licensing arrangements with today’s most successful and influential creators of pop culture. Founded in 1998, Funko has experienced particularly strong growth since its acquisition by the current CEO in 2005.
With its deep library of licenses and its wide array of products at varying price points, Funko is able to target a broad consumer base, from children to adults, and penetrate an impressive range of retail channels worldwide; including mass, specialty, book, department store, online, convenience, hobby, and mall retailers, among others. No single customer accounts for more than 10% of annual sales. With its breadth of licenses, product platforms and points of sale, Funko maintains a large and diverse base of consumers that spans many different ages and demographics.
Funko contracts the manufacture of its products with factories in Asia, based on designs created in- house, and imports them to its new 220,000 square foot office and warehouse facility outside of Seattle. The majority of products are distributed worldwide from this facility, sold both by Funko’s internal sales organization and outside sales representatives.

We are looking for a talented, energetic and creative Marketing Manager to join the marketing team at Funko. Ideally, this person will have a passion and knowledge for all things “Pop Culture” and enjoy working collaboratively within a results-oriented, team environment.
Reports to the Director of Marketing.

DESIRED OUTCOMES FOR THIS POSITION:

Managing, maintaining and growing Funko’s brand presences on social media
Creating a vibrant online community by increasing followers, likes and interactions with the intention of facilitating customer outreach, creating dialogue and improving total audience reach
Executing on promotions, contests, polls, and other viral content to create a dialogue with our customers and increase the “stickiness” of our feeds
Authoring a social media/promotional calendar for each branded property
Measuring and reporting monthly on the success of social media campaigns
Coordinating with licensing & sales to make product announcements and work with media partners to increase exposure, facilitate orders and drive traffic accordingly
Driving and reporting on the paid customer acquisition efforts for our branded subscription services while mapping all paid activities to established and agreed to CPA and LTV goals
Managing asset creation for promotional needs with our art team
Updating our blogs and website to ensure our content is fresh and up to date
Writing product ad copy and descriptions as requested by sales and product development to support our promotional and merchandising efforts
Assisting event planning for all pertinent trade show appearances and procuring promotional assets required for tradeshow presences and fan events
Performing general marketing and PR-related activities, as directed

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS:

2-5 years in marketing, advertising or product management
Industry Knowledge – Desire to research, keep up-to-date, and make recommendations and enhancements around the latest applications and trends surrounding social media
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of core marketing and business principles
Ability to work with tight deadlines for a variety of stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Passion for pop culture, collecting and Funko products
Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, schedule and plan across several ongoing projects
Fun, creative and insightful, and definitely not afraid to share your opinion
Deep familiarity with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and community-building techniques
Experience with event planning and creating marketing collateral highly desired
